What is there to say at this point? I am almost at a loss for words, and how to begin. We are so very thrilled to welcome Linnaeus (Linus) Elliot Pierce into the world. We have wanted, for a significant period of time, to have children. Now we have little Linus and are beyond words.

It has been a long journey to this point. The time in the hospital was longer than expected, life took some unexpected turns during those 9 months, and we have been many years getting to this point. We went into Strong on Friday afternoon, but Linus was not born until Saturday night. Despite it all, both baby and mother are well. We went home on Monday and all indications during this first day are positive.

We are truly so happy and fortunate. We have received enormous support from many different people, both family and friends. It would be impossible for me to thank everyone individually at this point, so I hope that this meager expression will suffice for a time.
